There was a steady stream of activity at Pandora’s Box – phone calls, visitors, Mistresses – all creating an ongoing buzz around the front waiting area. In a few moments I was ushered back into the dungeon and the Asian-themed “Ming Dynasty” room. As trained earlier by Mistress Madison I stripped off all of my clothes and was on hands and knees – forehead to the ground – as I awaited my tormentors-in-training.

I maintained this posture until shortly the door opened and Isabelle ushered the novice Mistresses into the room. On May 8th, New England's fetish and goth-industrial crowd headed to Stimulate, an extravaganza of gothic excess typically held on the third Saturday of each month.
Attendees were dressed in their fetish best. Although a minimum of all black is required, Stimulate's promotional materials suggested the following styles of dress: steampunk, cyberpunk/cyberslut, electrohead/rivithead/industrial, cybergoth, gothic, gothic lolita, and fashionista. As for fetish, PVC/vinyl, leather, latex, corsetry, and armor are all acceptable.
As a general rule, the fetish community appreciates all thoughtful and extreme costumes, no matter what the genre. The most remarkable costume of the evening? A man in a head-to-toe black and white lamp outfit, complete with head lighting.
Stimulate featured performances by the EBM bands Aesthetic Perfection and The Spider Lillies, as well as a set by Chris Vrenna of Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, and Tweeker fame. The artists mingled with the crowd after their shows, signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans.
Although Stimulate is not exclusively a fetish play party, several Saint Andrews crosses and benches were available for light bondage and corporeal punishment, and more than a few attendees left with happily- (and publicly) acquired bruises. Although I had seen pictures of her I was completely unprepared for just how staggeringly attractive she is (and I mean that in all honesty). To her great credit she immediately put me at ease, I quickly formed a bond with her. However, when she told me to drop to my knees and worship her feet I immediately complied. In response to a recent post by Miss Jordan Jones on Max seeking a “first human single tail subject,” Miss Jones and I corresponded for a few weeks prior to my planned journey to the Big Apple. I was attracted to the opportunity by a few factors – first, to my knowledge, this was my first, first; second, Miss Jones’ writings on Max and elsewhere were impressive, well thought out with a biting realism that is characteristic of someone with a clever but cunning sense of humor; and third, there simply is nothing as sexy as a very hot woman brandishing a single tail.

Miss Jones patiently endured the frequency with which my travel plans changed but finally, we locked in a date (I was excited as my last session, a few months prior, had such great promise but turned sour rapidly due the unsafe practices of a seemingly well regarded Domme in Chicago). Miss Jones, in pre-session correspondence, assured me that while she was eager to work me over, she would be supremely cognizant of my safety at all times. I believed her and she delivered exactly what she said she would deliver.

Upon meeting her at Mistress Wynter’s supremely well equipped dungeon (the amount of diabolical instruments adorning the walls and floors is stunning), I was taken aback the difference between Miss Jones in photos and Miss Jones in real life – to say that she is far more attractive than her pics is both a cliché and an understatement in this case. I tend to be more attracted to brunettes than blondes or redheads but Miss Jones is smokin’ hot. She told me that this observation is not uncommon and I certainly understood why.

Given all the correspondence, it was a bit awkward when we started but Miss Jones immediately got into it – Miss Jones is a supremely confident woman who took charge without hesitation. She warmed me up with her hand, several floggers and a paddle or two. I knew almost immediately that she meant business and that I was not leaving unscathed – this is why I love sessioning in NY – even the warm ups hurt. Miss Jones focused her efforts on my ass (per my request) and made adjustments to hit a lower target. Within a few strikes, Miss Jones carefully delivered lashes that were memorable and impressive, especially for her first time. At one point, she try decided to throw the whip in a slightly different manner – this enabled her to produce a loud cracking sound, which delighted Miss Jones.

What struck me (aside from repeated blows from the whip) was Miss Jones’ almost obsessive, competitive and desire and attendant to deliver precision lashes in a very careful and caring manner. In the not too distant future, I could easily see Miss Jones joining the ranks of a dwindling elite group of Dommes who have mastery over the single tail. Miss Jones insisted that this be a safe, enjoyable (as enjoyable as receiving a whipping could be) experience. The lashes she delivered were a combination of soft kisses and stinging, welt producing strikes. I never knew what was coming, heightening the anticipation for each lash. After well in excess of 100 lashes with the single tail, we moved onto other activities (including a rawhide cane that delivered tear producing strokes to the inside of my thighs).

Throughout the session, Miss Jones and I bantered back and forth (any initial awkwardness rapidly vanished as I flirt relentlessly in session) and I was exposed, first hand, to her warmth and laughter. In the end, I had a great time and Miss Jones seemed pretty psyched that she had a willing target with which to experiment. I look forward to meeting up with Miss Jones again when I am back in the Apple.

Living, loving the music

“The way I see it, all music is there to entertain us, and like I read in a letter in a guitar magazine once, the music may be here forever, but we won’t. So I plan on checking out as much of it as I can while I’m here, because music is my life.”

There are some people who like music. There are others who love it.

And then there are the very rare people who live music. Not living for the scene, the fashion or clout associated with music, but actually living for the songs. Will Hall was one of those people.

Will died Jan. 28 at his home in Buffalo at the age of 38 of an apparent heart attack. He had been living in Buffalo over the past few years after moving away from the Olean area.

Certain corners of the Internet have been abuzz since Will’s passing as friends have gathered to share memories. Buffalonians and fans of The Rabies - Will’s Buffalo-based goth punk band - have left kind words. People like myself from the Olean area, who remember Will as a multi-instrumentalist in bands like Hesher and Ambulance Drunk, have shared their thoughts.
His friends from high school in Hinsdale and college at Fredonia have had a lot of great things to say. And there has been an outpour of emotion from Will’s friends on an online heavy metal message board called Metal Sludge.

This was a side of Will I knew nothing about. I did know about his epic record collection and his equally stunning knowledge of music and musicianship, but I wasn’t privy to his lofty position on this heavy metal message board.

At Metal Sludge, Will was known by his handle of IggyPopWillEatItself, and by the memories that are being shared on a Facebook group titled, “In Loving Memory of Will Hall (1972-2010), it is clear that he was high on the totem pole on the message board.

Dozens of Metal Sludge posters have shared some very touching thoughts on someone they didn’t know in person.

“I used to joke that you could name demos that bands did that the bands themselves didnt even know they did ...Your knowledge on music was amazing. RIP Iggy!” one Metal Sludger wrote. Messages like this from in-person friends and Internet friends go on and on.

For once, the beauty of technology and social networking is on display.

Without them, it’s safe to say that hundreds of people would have missed out on Will.

I was first introduced to Will as a teenager. At the time, Olean had a growing punk music scene, and Will, then in his late-20s, was clearly seen as an elder among the mostly teenage crowd.

Rather than snub all the new kids who started to arrive at the shows, Will was a source of guidance and encouragement.

I can recall talking to Will about the music I was into back then. I told Will I was into California punk bands like Bad Religion, Lagwagon and NOFX. The next time I saw Will, he had mixed me a tape of bands who had influenced the bands I liked - groups like D.I., the Adolescents and Youth Brigade.

I remember looking at the tape in my hand and wondering what Will wanted in return. To my surprise, he didn’t want anything, he just wanted to share his love of music with everyone. And I played the heck out of that tape.

As much fun as I had in the Olean scene, it was still fraught with infighting and scene politics. A lot was made out of people’s musical preferences and whether those preferences were “punk.”

Will spoke out against the perceived importance of labels in a column he wrote for the short-lived Punks Before Profits ’zine in 1999.

“There’s a whole lot of music out there, and it seems a shame to not check out as much of it as you can. And don’t worry about labels. Punk? Metal? Alternative? Goth? Classic rock? Jazz? Blues? Who cares? If you like it, you like it, and that’s all that matters. Music is meant to touch your soul, not impress your friends,” Will wrote.

That statement fit Will perfectly. He liked Megadeth, but he also appreciated The Cure. Isn’t that against the rules? Not in Will’s world - a much less judgmental and probably a more enjoyable world than the one most of us live in.

Will once told me he had done an interview with heavy metal legend Glenn Danzig while working at the college radio station in Fredonia.

This notion blew my 16-year-old mind since I was and still am a big Danzig fan. I felt lucky just to talk to Will about talking with Danzig - I couldn’t believe that someone I knew had spoken to my favorite singer and songwriter.

Apparently, as the years went by, Danzig himself learned to appreciate Will the way so many others did, although I’m not quite sure how they connected.

A photo was recently taken outside the brooding rocker’s home in California and posted online. Attached to the big black gate that surrounds Danzig’s home was a note.

“RIP IPWEI (IggyPopWillEatHimself) Will Hall 1972-2010,” the note says.

I've been busy, busy, busy!

This past week, I've been all over shooting new content. On Monday, I was defying all laws of science with the amazing people of www.giantesszone.com as I shrank poor Gary with my ray-gun. It was so much fun to shoot, I can't imagine what it's going to look like once all the effects are added.

Yesterday, I was in Baltimore, MD with Lexi Sindel shooting for her ridiculously hot site, www.meangirlsclub.com We shot SO many hot scenes! Caning, spitting, flogging, strap-on and tons more! I can NOT wait to see these all finished.

Not just the ones Bowie sings of. The last month or so has been very hectic in my world. It's brought about unexpected change, some more welcome than others. Change is a part of life, and without change we do not grow. Change is evolution. I'm sessioning in a new space now, and I'm delighted about the opportunity. So, those of you who were seeing me in my old space, please contact me, as things have changed just a touch. I will be available more often, but by appointment only, a day in advance. No more same day sessions. The new space I'm renting out of is gorgeous, and incredibly well equipped. I will be able to do many, many more evil little things to you! Best of all, this space has a shower. I'm very excited about the future and the prospects this particular change has laid out.
